For one of our projects, me and my mentor, Frank Matta, cleared out a portion of a stream which runs through the farm. One obstacle which we encountered while operating machinery on the farm was the fact that there was a stream which ran directly down the middle of the farm. The only way to safely get to the other side of this stream was to create a series of crossovers where the tractor an other euipment would be able to get to the other fields safely. In order to do this we needed to walk the land, take notes, and scope the terrain for the most promising, flattest, and least swampy area to house our new crossover.
